i take it you dont want an aftermarket one?
find a stock one, but avoid any of the rockford or bose units that come with the premium sound packages. those might require an amplifier. either way youll probably have to do a little wiring since the plugs changed throughout the years.

Dont really want to get an aftermarket just yet.
Im not worried about that if the wiring is different as i can mix adapter harnesses.
I should of put this first. The first one is a 96 maxima the 2nd is a 1995
Will the mounting be the same? I have an empty cubby under my stock radio right now so maybe the cd player can fit there?
Thanks for the quick reply

yeah. the ones pictured are standard double din units. if you remove your stock radio and cubby hole youll have a double din sized hole.

But the mounting points should be fine then?

should be. you might need to use the brackets from your factory radio if they are not included with the one you buy.

Well, I went digging for cruise wiring on Friday, found none by the way. Then i remembered this thread. I found this wiring behind my cassette player. My cassette player also had this plug on the back. It doesnt fit in the back of the radio, as there is no pins in it. Could this plug be for the factory CD player? It wasnt plugged in it was just taped up.

This is the round plug on the back of the radio. Whats it for?

the plug is for rear speakers. if your truck doesn't have them, don't worry about it. the hole is where the antenna plugs in.

Alright. So you know where i could find the ends of the wires for the rear speakers? Maybe their tucked away also?
Thats not the round plug i was talking about. The other one below it is.

oh. i knew that. the speaker wires could be tucked under the carpet behind the seat, but its hello tryin to find them. and i didn't notice the other round plug
until i zoomed in. it looks like a cd changer control. again, if your truck don't have it, its no big deal.
