2 questions!

I did my oil pump today and when i puilled the oil pump and shaft out a bolt came out too. its a funny shaped bolt threads at one end and the a thick bolt above the thread wtih an allen head. what is this for? and also i found tdc on my truck, I think. Front piston on compression stroke stab the distribitor and still no start is there something else I need to do or any suggestions on how to solve this problem thanks!!

u got a manual for the engine. if not here's the 89 240sx one.

id probly pull the front cover man. need more help just ask.

whats the possibility of the timing chain jumping a couple teeth with that bolt out???

its a good posiblity only way to find out is pull the front cover and take a look see. im crossing my fingers for ya.

well i am going to send it to a shop for that I dont have the time or patientce to deal with that. Can I buy just the gasket to the cover instead of buying the whole kit??

its just rtv but the 2 oring type deals go between the front cover and the block for the oil pump those are the 2 nessacary ones id change.

ok i think i found a kit with two orings and a tube of rtv! I think i will get that for them then.
