ok i bought an 88 300zx with the trans shot in it. i I did a trans swap in it and now it shifts fine. before i did the swap nothing was wrong with my electrical situation. now when i switch the car on and go to crank i have nothing. it won't even turn over. then when i go to switch if off all teh dash stays on. i reach under the left hand side the car under the dash and pull whats called the ignition meter fuse out. it is a 10 amp fuse and now my car will crank and dash wont work. i can then insert the fuse while the car is running and the dash works and everything is fine. none of the happened until i put a trans in the car. i've had people telling me its a ground problem. but i cant find anything i missed or messed up. i even took it to a guy and he cant find it. anyone please help.
p.s. Sorry this is such a long post

You need to check and see if your getting voltage to the ignition switch & start tracing it down from there. See how that fuse ties into the starting system.
It is a ground issue. You have to recheck everything you did, and what you may have had to unhook
