Ok some of you know i just got a HB from a buddy of mine its bagged on 17's. Well the ride sucks... its mono leaf and over the axle. I hate it! i want to change it over to a 2 or 3 link(keeping the gas tank stock) and put the bags on the lower bars? is it possible and can someone post some pics of there set up.
thanks in advance!

I dunno how you would do a bag on bar wit a 2 or 3 link. Don't think its possible. I think a reverse 4 link goes TO the back of the truck wuch also wouldn't work wit gag on bar it would have TO be a 4 link facing the front of the truck TO be bag on bar. I maybe totally off but don't think I am. If you do a reverse 2 link with bag over axel it would be a decent ride gotta buddy who's set up like that
or u can do one of those 5 link. it would be a 3 link wishbone, and 2 bars behind with bags. just like the suicide doors s-10 kit.

you could always just move the gas tank to the bed and all you have to do is lengthen the lines and wires...it would be safer cause then you dont have to see your dream truck go up in flames from draggin and rupturing the tank man...my 2 cents

I've got the cando reverse 4 link bag on bar set-up. Rides great! Check out Cando Specialties website. www.candospecialties.com
I've seen a few pics of a guy that notched his frame and put the bag straight over the bar, the gusseted the crap out of the frame where he notched it. Only other way to do it is to fab up a bracket for the top and bottom of a 2link and weld it to the side of the bar. Bad thing about that is that it puts a lot of torsion on the link bar and I've heard people complaining about twisting 2link bars, and increased bushing wear.
The back actually rides pretty good if you'd buy new shocks. Those are Monroe's from an 88 Chevy 1/2 ton. Those shocks have a greater length of travel than stock Nissans and that's what that rear end is setup for... By the way. Good luck

well i was thinking of puttin a two link on it with the back on the bottom side of the frame sandwitched between the frame and the lower bar.
Kinda like you where telling me david with ur bushing but having the bag under the frame?
just trying to get some ideas... hell i may just have to move the tank... didnt really want to but if i had to i can. Hell its no where near touching with the backs layed out.

I don't have any pictures of it, and honestly I don't even remember who's pics they were. I know they were on nissancustoms.com, but the site is down so no luck there. He basically put the 2link on, layed the truck out and marked how much space he needed in the frame, level with the link bar then started cutting. If I remember correctly, he had made the cuts then boxed it all in with gussets inside the frame for added strength. I don't see why it wouldn't work, but then again I have seen a couple frames rip from welding the brackets to the outside of the rails.. Call Darrell... He'll fab something up! :)

No there isn't any at all. The only thing I don't like about the upper bar is that stupid hump that does nothing except look like ass. But at least it is way under the bed and can't be seen.
Maybe later if I still own the truck I will remove the hump and have something else made.
