I have to replace my bed on my hardbody. I got a new bed for it that needs a little body work which is no big deal. But my question is on my old bed it has a tailgate skin and roll pan with caddy lights on it,and i wanna do all this on my new bed. would it be easier to buy all new stuff and start over or could i cut it all off in 1 piece and re weld that on my new bed ?? it would save some money buy doing that but if i can keep what i got i'd rather do that:confused:

i looked at the pics you have in the album on your profile. and by the looks of it, it would be much easier to get a new skin and caddy buckets and start over. by the looks of how your bed is setup, you'd have to do far more work than would be worth the hassle..
BTW, those prowler rims look SIIIIICC!!! did you have to shorten the axle to get them to tuck in the rear?

I have a 9inch ford narrowed rear end so it tucks nicley...ima give the rearend to my dad for his 55 chevy and i got a thunderbird rear end ready to go in..it'll push the wheels out a lil more and plus it'll track right to

naw ima use a 2 wheel drive bed im having the other rearend cut down so that it will all be perfect for the wheels to fit with a 2wheel drive bed...see on my bed that is in the pics the driver side has a 4x4 bedside on it and the pass side is regular 2 wheel drive and it looks way better 2wheel drive side and actually the 9inch on my truck now could extend out about 2 inches and never hit the bed (if the fender wells were cut right)

my rims are 20x10...now with me i am using the 2wheel drive bed becuz my 9inch plus my 20x10s are still tucked in to far with the 4x4 bed...if you look here---->http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=352509712&albumID=935224&imageID=10082876
you will see my 4x4 bed side with the 20x10s and if you can tell they are way up in there but if you look here----->http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=352509712&albumID=935224&imageID=10082880
they are sittin just right ( for me anywase ) if you like the 4x4 bed then it's all good but your wheels will be tucked into your bed but the 2wheel drive bed will have them bout a inch and 1/2 away from the bed side( all this depends on how long your rear end is...

Wow, someone fubar'd your bed hah
Well, the whole deal with mine is I am going to shorten my 9 inch so that my whole rear setup has the same width as stock, or a little bit more so that it tucks hard but not too bad, minituckin's truck is very similar to the setup i'm going to be running.
I'd like to see your truck with a new bed, keep the progress up!

I think he means 4x4 fender graph in the bedside, but if you look at the pics, I'm not sure what they tried to graph into those bedsides hah

i dunno what or who did that to the bed they just said they tried to do a 4x4 bed side...maybe it wuz off some other truck like a ford hell i dunno...all i know is it looks stupid and i want my regular decent clean str8 bed on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!.....but anywho yeah that is what i am trying to do is make it look stock and not like a drag truck ( except from the back lol) but i also got a 97 motor and trans in it and i have a turbo off a vw ima try to put on it so mybe i could drag it (frame) or drag it (race) or both

yea, it looks really weird with the back fender off a pathy, should have used the front 4x4 fender of a pathy or 4x4 HB. it looks much better. theres a few people on here that have done it and it looks good that way
