So my wife's first car, a b12 sentra has just been sitting up at her parents house for the last 10 years collecting dust and surface rust (looks exactly like this one http://www.infamousnissan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10091&highlight=b12 only with stock rims and tires)

Every time we go up to their house I hear this sad little car parked in the woods calling out in a raspy voice; "save me... help me... MOD ME!" My wife is totally on board with the idea. The only thing we're gonna be able to save on her car is the shell (motor is trash, interior is deteriorated and moldy).

Anyway, just thought I'd throw it out there, and see what ideas you all could come up with for motor/tranny swaps, interior swaps and body mods.

I'm kinda thinking about making it a badass sleeper that'll rip the doors off unsuspecting suckers.

Here are the rules:

It's gotta stay a manual transmission
I don't have a money tree in my backyard, so parts have got to be cheap and easy to get.
Oh, and I'm a purist, so it's all gotta be Nissan parts (none of that Chevy motor in a Ford crap).

Let the brainstorming begin...

The easiest way to make it a "badass sleeper" would be an SR swap.

On one of the "COPS" shows there was one with that sentra that was doing over 100MPH and the cops were astonished that a Sentra just went flying by. Once they was pulled over they was asking about the car..It had the SR20DET in it. They make FWD versions of it. I seen several listed on CL around here in the Phoenix Area from time to time. Took a ride in one once when I will looking for a new toy. Quick as hell.

LOL...I hate that crap too. Even on '30's hotrods, even though it's kinda '50's street-racing era correct in a sense.

Maybe find a B13-B14 SE-R parts car for a drivetrain swap. B14 Se-r wheels would look awesome, but you'd lose some of the sleeper effect. IMO, when building a sleeper, the more stock looking, then better.

My parents had a '92 Sentra 4-door they bought new. I still miss it, and would love to get my hands on a b13 Se-R. But most of the ones around here have been riced out.
