The only chance you got is modifying the seats for more room, or change it to tilt. I cant wait to see how low mine is!

raise the bed floor an extra 3 inches and you can fit the gas tank sideways inbetween the frame rails. and the ectra room give you spave to put the air tank and anything else u want under the bed. ill look and see if i have any pics.

what stuff are you wanting to relocate??the only thing that really had to be move on mine was the clutch master cylinder, the brake booster and the gas tank. everything else should fit fine. cut the blower box under the dash to fit around the wheel tubs. i dunno what else you should need to move.

I was talking about in the rear when you bag the rear. Also need to know what I can get rid of when I add a fuel cell. I know it has that canister in the rear and Im wondering if you can just remove it when you run a fuel cell. Also was wondering what everyone is doing with the load sensor for the axle that controls the brakes when the truck is wieghed down.
And what is everyone doing with the A/C box on top of the tranny hump after BDing 3.5"s? Looks like you may have to remove the heater core and notch that box to fit. I havent tried reinstalling it yet, and it will be a little while before I do. My Blower box should be ok from the looks of it, but havent got that far yet either. Im only running 18s in the front.

not dumb. on the nissan the entire front end is attached to the cab kinda like a unibody car so instead of modifiying everything to reattach the core support you cut the frame where the front mounts are and weld it back together lower to match how much you lowered the cab. it will look like a z when done.

They "Z" frames so they can lay out flat in the front...it kinna works like a C-notch, but in the front instead

Left Field, i was looking at your setup and i don't think that is gonna turn at all when it is low. The guy that had my truck before me tried the same thing and on 18's mine rubbed horribly. Just my .02 cents

awesome i gotcha, i learn something new everyday on IN

01-19-2009, 09:31 PM
Actually people Z frames for 2 reasons I know of.
1 - The reason why we did it above is to bodydrop the front without having to modify bumper mounts and get a shorter radiator. Nothing like a Cnotch, but lays the frame lower in the front closer to the ground of course.
2 - On some older trucks (and maybe some newer) the front crossmember is lower than the frame. So the will Z in front of the engine and behind the engine to get the frame to lay flat on the ground. More like a bigger Cnotch to lay the front end.
