Wheel gap is like a vagina, the more fingers you can get in there the worse off you are.

Love the g! Those wheels are real nice.

Lmao.

Ive only put 15 miles on it since i did the suspension last night so its hasnt fully settled. Right now its about an inch or gap. Id like a lil less but dont want it to ride like shit on this one. If i go lower itll be bagged or juiced

Another 1/2 an inch wont hurt the ride quality. Im not saying you should be tucking, but just close the gap a little more.

It looks dope either way though.

Ya, im waiting to see how it settles over the weekend. Ill put some mileage on it and see how it is on monday. And then check the alignment again to see if i need the camber kit. Its at -2 degrees right now on all 4 corners, and 0.08 degrees of toe

I think it's perfect. Sporty but not ghetto. Don't go lower. I went lower on my TL and hated it...I'm running the Eibachs now too.

will get better pics at battle drag this weekend.

next mods: custom magnaflow exhaust, and paint the grille black or buy a billet front grille and bumper inserts

It has a perfect stance now. Nice wheel and tire combo too. I went with H&R for my '01 Maxima. I put the fronts on only and kept the factory SE springs in the rear. I'd like to go lower, but I need to get in and out of my driveway.

10-08-2011, 03:06 PM
ya, i read on hte g35 forums abotu the differences between these and the h&r's, everyone says these ride better but have just a lil less drop than the h&rs. alot of the hr guys have switched to either these or real coilovers. if i were to go lower itll be with air or juice

i hated the chrome grille on my car so i decided to paint it today. still gotta let it dry all night and ill put it on in the morning.

i read on all the g forums that everyone uses plastidip to do theirs, so since once it dries if it looks dumb it can actually be peeled off. i did 5 light coats of the plastidip and then topped it with 4 light coats of high gloss black to give it a lil shine.

all in all, im happy with the way it came out. cant wait to see it put back in the car

Looks good man! Did you have to scuff it down or primer it or anything first?

pugz
10-16-2011, 04:20 PM
no, with the plastidip only need to clean the surface first.

grille is back installed and looks so much better now. since the plastidip has a slight texture to it, it looks like factory black plastic really.

anyone know about using drive through carwashes with the plastidip? will it hold up? i usually hand wash it but i drive through sometimes.

anyway here it is installed back in the car

be careful with drive through car washes. If you have to use one makesure theyre brushless. Those brushes will kill your paint over time.

now to paint that chrome trunk lip white to match the car, and paint all the chrome trim black around the windows, new exhaust coming real soon. then who knows what ill end up doing. i said i was gonna leave this stock, but stock sucks.

J, whats the PPI on those coils? the eibachs on my Xrunner were 950ppi. I think my evo coils are only 210. Its crazy, just making sure ur spine wont come through yo head

pugz
11-04-2011, 01:43 PM
Idk what the ppi is, they are the springs made for the car, and they are stiffer than stock, but its not bad unless its a really bumpy road
