im not 100% sure about fronties, but i just put a fuel cell in my hardbody. 1st off it looks a million times better than the factory fuel tank in the bed. (that is if yours is re-located to the bed) all i needed was an aftermarket in-line fuel pump (i used an airtex e2000) an in line fuel filter and the fuel cell. you can use the factory wiring to wire the fuel pump and fuel gauge.

how do you get the gauge to stay working.. so you know how much fuel you have

the sending unit usually comes with/in the fuel cell. in my case it did. as for the gauge you have 2 leads from the wiring harness and run a power to it. it should have 3 prongs for the wires.

the sending unit you need is 70 ohms empty 10ohms full. on mine there was a fuel temp sensor i had to custom wire inside my fuel cell. i have a 98 fronty extended cab with the ka24 in it. theres six wires ontop your stock unit. two for temp sensor two for fuel gauge and two for your fuel pump.
