If I switch from re-6 to re-7 in the front, can I avoid running shocks in the front? Do I really need shocks in the front anyway? I heard that if I have re-7 in the front that they are like shocks themselves.

ive never tried so i cant say its not true. any ride with out shocks is never gonna compare to one with shocks.

yes our roads suck so bad, its where the army has me right now, I am a new jersey native. I'd be there if I had my way or back in europe. I constantly must air up my drivers front bag because a brand new viair guage leaks. I do bounce around and it is unpleasant to drive above 50 mph without some more stability up front. I will have a replacement one tomorrow. The other guages hold fine and the right side of the front holds fine as well. Just a faulty dual needle guage is all for now.

More importantly, got a part number for some front shocks for me? the stock nissan shocks are an inch too much for me.

man, i've never done it myself, but for the effort of cutting, notching, and trimming things in the front to stuff in an RE-7, just throw some shocks on the front...you can get front shock relocating kits from most of the major mini truck suplly websites. best one i can think of is suicidedoors.com

here's the link bro

im runnin a stock replacement shock on mine and no issues at all...really if ur bagged theres no point in buyin expensive shocks cuz u will just blow them out....but if they offer a lifetime warrenty on the nicer ones like they do on the cheapo's then go ahead...

I already have the stock replacement shocks and the front shock relocation kit from SD. I'm more interested in a good picture of someone running cando arms and shocks.

just goto the local autostore and get some good gas shocks... all you need really for a good ride... shocks on the front and back...

on the cando arms.... just make a mount under the lower arm to hold the shock bolt on...
best way to put shocks on (for me... is to take the wheel off and jack the arms up all the way.... then get your shock and compress it all the way and hold it with a strap or wire to keep it compresses... then just hold it up and find the best spot for it...... but not too close to the frame, cause it will rub the frame and not too far out .....

hope that helps some.....

and the people that said you dont need shocks with re7 or full of shit... bigger bag , more bouncing .....

Are shocks a must or just for better ride? I have no shocks front or back

i woudl suggest shocks unless u like the feel of ridin in a cadillac with 4 bad shocks how it floats and bounces everywhere almost uncontrolable...almost like tryin to drive a trampoline down the road...

I'm running r6's all the way around. I only have shocks in the rear, and am very happy with the way my truck rides. So is it a must to have them in the front? I would say no. Would you want a larger bag in the front on a mini? to that I would also say no. Like ice said bigger bag give you a bouncer ride.

If I run my bags at low psi the truck rides better then my moms caddy that's got brand new shocks. now on the other hand if its fully inflated its rough... I have no problems with bouncing or shakin or anything different than a normal shock setup. IMO shocks are pointless exp on the front. Just my 2

im not sure about the back i think they are a must there but ask ice. the front no they are not a must nor is it unsafe to not have shocks in the front. BUT if you don have shocks in the front picture pushing a spring down on a table and sliding it off the table, it will shoot to the gound, just as your rim and tire will do if you hit a bump with no shocks in the front, sounds bad when it does that too.

i kno a few ppl w/out shocks. it still works just fine. i noticed a big difference in ride comfort comparing their trucks to mine tho...

No not true i have re7's in the front with no shocks its bouncy as shit. Every time you hit a bump it bounces about 4 times. I cant wait to get my daily back on the road so i can tear back into my hardbody.

im running shocks on the rear only. the only issue i have is on some concrete bridges. the expansion joints can send my front end bouncing pretty good. normally i just add a touch more air to stiffen the bag up, or i tap the gas to help get my truck out of the rhythm. never had any concerns of loosing control.

id recommend shocks on the front to anyone. if my truck where still in the shop, id get mat to put shocks on it.

Shocks are a Important part of a safe vehicle. They Push the tire against the road and keep the vehicle in contact at all times. Bad shocks that (bounce) alow the tire to HOP AND BOUNCE thus your tire leave the roadway and you can loose control.

Yea any large bumps or dips in the road make it bounce not to the point where it is uncontrolable its just bouncy. Pittsburgh roads dont help matters.

Exactly what I mean. Some people seem to not know this or just don't care.

Wow a lot of very uninformed opinions in here. Yes you absolutely want shocks, for safety and comfort. Shocks dampen the ride and keep the vehicle from "wallowing"over bumps. They also keep the tire in contact with the road at all time. As far as running a larger bag to avoid having to run shocks, not true.
