Well I gotta shave the handle on the pathy since the bass riped it off
I don't know what popper to get for it. You gotta push down on it and don't know what company makes one. Here is a drawn out pic

Pushing one direction is the same as pulling from another direction, young grasshoppa.

get yourself one of these

http://www.audiooutfitter.com/images/items/376/23376-cs-610si.jpg

they push or pull now they can be weak so search for a beefy one cause i know they make em
they are known as door lock actuators

can you mount a cantilever under the handle, then mount a solinoid beside the handle, connect solinoid to the cantilever, then cantilever to the handle.when the solinoid pulls,it cantilevers and becomes a pull on the handle????if you get that

this is all you need it not a linear actuator as this one ^^^^^^ thinks. its a door lock actuator with two wires

how would I wire it up?

one wire would be grounded and the other would go to a switch with 12 volts. but you would have to determine which is push and which is pull by testing the wires first.
