View Full Version : Baked and Painted my headlights

Hey guys. My headlights were really yellow so I decided to renew them and custom paint them while I was at it. I liked how the ebay ones looked but I kept the orange reflectors and a little more chrome in front of the reflector.

I sanded the headlights using 400 grit to 1500 grit and shot them with plastic clear coat. The "after" pics were taken with my phone. I'll get some better shots soon.

Those look pretty good, much better then stock. I see a few spots where your tape job could have been better though. Still looks great

I know. :D I wanted to get it done before sun down so I rushed it a bit. It's only noticeable from up close though.

I like this mod too. I've done this mod to my '01 Maxima, very popular with the Maxima crowd.

I want to do this on my Mazda 5 but it's brand new and if I eff it up new ones are several hundred doll hairs.

I've done this on like 20 (4 of them were mine) cars before and I always get skiddish when I'm pulling them apart.
