:nana2:I'm bout to venture into putting a sub in in my frontier and I was wondering what colors are what on the back of the factory head unit..... I havnt even poppd it apart yet so they might be labled. I am just trying to get a headstart...I need to also know what are the positives and negatives in all the doors... there is no pattern just random colors different in every door..thanx

get a wiring harness, wire it up to your new radio's harness, plug in and play.

OR are you trying to run a sub off of your factory radio, like tap into your speaker leads? The colors at the speakers SHOULD match the colors coming out of the radio.

I will check that out but its 06 frontier with factory cd player and I'm gonna tap into speaker leads to hook up rca's..... I been on website calld the12volt.com but they didn't have breakdown for my paticular truck. But from what I could see on there the wires on radio are different colors then what are in the doors

I just check that sight I got to my year model then there is just a big list of pdfs which ones do I need they just have innitials and I can't figure which is which????? Or am I missing sumthing.... if I click on one it just starts downloading to my phone.

down load the IDX i think its called, thats the INDEX....from there you can look up the list and find what particular section you want, radio will probably come under electrical, which i think is the EL pdf.

I download the one that said av.pdf I think it calld its got what I need I think but I'm definitely gonna get sum more that great stuff.... I got one on accident calld ei.pdf it has the breakdown of interior and exterior how to remove fenders, bumpers, interior trim, etc... thanx I will get the index too

why do you want to tap into wires for RCA's? would the signal not be cleaner running a new deck and running RCA's from it to an amp?

I don't have new deck... they make a adapter that u wire into ur R andL speakers and it has the plugs to plug ur rca cord into and u can't tell a difference in clearness long as u make sure u get ur positives and negatives correct that's why I need to know what colors are what off of the back of the radio..then it goes to amp.... only way I know how to run system off factory radio that doesn't have rca plugs in the back of it
