here is a mustang that i started on last fall.....so far ive got 4 months total time into the car since i have to stop during the winter....

im restoring this car for a friend of mine for his wife......enjoy and as progress is made ill keep updating....

and thats where it is as of now...........right now im blockin out the panels....and fixing 20 dings in the hood....

here in about a week youll start seeing the sealer....base.....and clear going on...HOPEFULLY........

hopefully ill have a 68 camaro next....its just a simple color change thou...the car is yellow with black ss stripes and the guy wants it red with white ss stripes....thats gona be an easy 3g's there

no pics as of yet.....im still blockin the car down and the hood i ended up having to use has 20 or so lil dings in it so im doing bodywork on it....all the blocking and body work should be done today and hopefull painting it tomorrow or sunday.....

the temp here is favorable for paintin so im having to rig up 2 50,000btu LP heaters in the garage to warm things up for paint....

so be on the look out for pics at least by monday..HOPEFULLY.........

What year is that car like a 66?


1967 STANG.........66 is alil different in the fenders,quarters and the side vents, rear window is shaped alil different and a few other minor things....

coulda been better.....i had alot of issues that night....had a storm comin in so the wind was gusting at 50mph, temp dropped to 30f in an hour, souldnt run the heater doing to it being gas fired so i had to wait for the shop to warm up...spray....let it vent and then reheat it....which caused a shit load of moisture in the compressor that the traps couldnt keep up with......and then with all the moisture i was losing pressure so i had to keep adjusting the gun so i got a few "mess" ups in it but they where happy anyways with what we had to work with and the issues we had....

just outta curiousity what was your color code for that mustang? I've got a 65 in the shop now that seems to be close to that same color.

ill have to go over to his house and look at the can.......i know the color is BRITTNEY BLUE PEARL......which was mixed up in PPG's Shop Line brand.....cheaper but still sprays great......

Nice progress so far. The rust didn't look too bad at all for a wisconsin car.

oh ok, this one is a blue/silver metallic urethane. All the same, the car looks good.

the car wasnt originaly from here.......but the rust was pretty bad in the back...the reast of the car wasnt to bad...

had to replace trunk drop offs, lower wheel tubs, lower 1/4 panels, 4x2 section on the tail light pan, trunk lid, patch outer pass door skin, replace a large section on the inside door jamb on the door, mud up pretty much the whole hood but other than that it wasnt all that bad just aggrivating....

the color i sprayed was as close as they could get to the factory color that was in the trunk.....its alil darker but not by much.....
