ok i have an aftermarket steering wheel in my fronty so therefor i have no airbag...my airbag light stays on which gets me turned down for inspection at some places...how can i get this light to turn off? or does anyone know where the sensor is so i can unplug that fucker?

pull the cluster out. find the led that lights up for the Airbag light and cut it off. thats what i did on mine. :D

Need to reset that darned blinking SRS light? One of the two following methods should do the trick:

(2001 and older)
1. Open front door LH.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Press front door switch LH at least 5 times within 7 seconds
after turning ignition switch ON.
SRS is now in Diagnosis mode.
4. “AIR BAG” warning lamp operates in Diagnosis mode

OR: (2002 to 2005)
1. Turn ignition switch “ON”.
2. After “AIR BAG” warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn ignition
switch “OFF” within 1 second. Remove key.
3. Wait more than 3 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 three times.
5. Turn ignition switch “ON”.
SRS is now in Diagnosis mode.
6. “AIR BAG” warning lamp operates in Diagnosis mode

Note the pattern of the blinking (X long blinks followed by Y short blinks) and the number of short blinks will indicate what it is complaining about:
1 is the driver's seatbelt pre-tensioner
2 is the driver airbag
3 is the passenger seatbelt pre-tensioner
6 is the crash zone sensor on the radiator support
7 is the airbag diagnosis sensor
8 is the passenger airbag
9 is the passenger airbag deactivation switch

to bad mines a 2000...and its not an X....it says airbags or something like that

yours is in the 2001-older catagory...and X is just the length of the time the light blinks

i know what the problem is....i have no driver airbag...and i want to turn the fucker off lol...imma just cut that wire when i pull my dash out to glass it

If the light doesn't light up when they turn the key and then turn off, they'll know there's no light AND you can fail for that too.

Do the trick and see if it takes a few cycles for the light to turn back on. If it does, reset the light a few blocks away from the inspection place.

mine flashes cuz i pulled the pass airbag light out to do my shitty dash painting.

everyone keeps saying "we both have our seatbelts on, why's it flashing?" "oh thats just the airbag." "do they work?" "hell i dunno"...
