im gettin my baged blazer back and running, its a 91 and im swapping the 4.3 for a 4.3 vortech from a 01. do i need to switch out the computer? the vortech is ina 93 blazer complete i just dont have a title so im stripping it, so i should have all the components seeing the 93 starts right up.

just swap over all the early sensors, you might have a problem with the central fuel distribution unit not plugging into the one in the vortech. Also, make sure your oil cooler lines are in order while your in there. They like to blow off over time and you will lose lots of oil really fast! Crack open the intake upper half on both engines. First the 91's and see if it has metal lines for the poppets, then the vortechs so you can put metal ones in it if the 91 doesn't have them. peace.

91 is throttle body, cpi didn't make it to the blazer till 93,
you would have to swap everything over, on the bright side chevy wiring is a breeze

u will have to swap over ALL the FI stuff. 91 is obd1 and 01 is obd2, way different setups, but should bolt on.
