Yea rust does suck when i bought my truck i had plans of a stock floor body drop to the doors. My rear portion of my frame was shot the leaf spring hanger was rusted off and the rockers are rusted out but the rest of the truck is solid so it worked out.

Couple ?z... How does the dash move down. Why do you have to cut the firewall an back of the cab? Where do you cut them at? How do you drop the front fenders an bed? Last but not least, what is rocker an pinch mean? I think I know but wanna be certain

1-Since you're lowering the actual body on the frame you need to cut that amount off both firewalls. The floor remains at the factory height so you essentially cut up and down the rockers and across the front and back walls.

2-The fenders come down with the inner fenders, aprons, and core support when you 'z' the frame.

3-The bed can be done a number of ways but the most basic is sectioning out the front and side walls and rear bed floor.

4-Your rocker is the panel or length of body that finishes off the body under your doors. they start at the bottom of the fender and run allong the bottom of the door to the cab corners.

5-The pinch is the 3/4" strip of steel with spot welds located under the rocker connecting parts of the rocker with the floor.

I'm sure some other folks will fill in the gaps I left out! But thats it in a nutshell!

I got a reverse swing for $130 to go under the dash but this is on my 720 I dont think you can move it up with out a lot of work.

there was no decision we had to..there was no clearence since we have a v6 and you couldnt cut it out because they would have been moving parts out...

nissanyota i'm usin a Hobart 185 (i think maybe 187) handler its a 220 an i love it not the greatest on sheet metal but it works with the setting tured way down......alright havent updated for 2 weeks and havent gotten much done but back half is pretty much done just needs painted and the battery box i made welded in got a bench seat and chrome mirrors and some odds and end intererior peices at the junk yard for 100 bucks....so heres the pics enjoy.....oh and how the hell do i get the lower ball joint out of the lower control arm...i'm all confused

to take the lower balljoints out you have to pull off the black cover off and then under all of that grease you will find a lockring, remove that and then beat the living shit of the ball joint with a hammer. You don't have to have a press, it's just politically correct.

Yea i welded it to my tub it is serviceable. The pedal unbolts from the bracket and the slave unbolts from the bracket as well. I got it in the other night i still have to bleed it but it should work good.

well I would say just take the tumbler out of the old doors but you can't. so going to have to buy new tumblers with keys. or take the tumbler to a good lock smith and they may be able to match cut a key.

alright i'm getting power to everything but my lights are acting weird no blinkers or turns and the truck will not turn over at all any short cuts or quick ways to diagnose the problem???? any help would be great trying to get it moving on its own power this week...thanks in advance..

The neutral safety switch is connected right? Check all your fuse's and relays. Then just trace down why theres no power to the starter. The lights could be a bad ground or just recheck all your work that was done to the harness or around it

How are you bleeding it? I use a little trick when bleeding hydro clutches that seems to work very well, if you get some clear tube that will fit over the nipple on the slave to bleed it, and then fill the master and let the fluid run all the way through, it will remove all air in the lines very quickly. Not sure if this will help you, but hope so!
