the cam and crank sensors have been known to go bad on the 2.5. the cam sensors on the 3.5 go bad too, they leak oil internally, the old one will be plastic and the new one from nissan has a metal cover. i would use a nissan sensor and make sure to clean any oil out of connector with brake cleaner and compressed air. The new nissan sensor has to have the connector clipped on before installing the sensor in block because they changed the way the connector sits on the sensor. you may have another issue that is causing your sluggish-ness. If you can't finger it out let us know more.

I would have to have the ecm part # to see if there is a reprogam, some have a reprogram but i doubt it will fix the problem of being sluggish. I would spring for the oem sensors, install them , then have someone do a idle air volume learn (iavl) this will more than likely fix your problem of being sluggish. And who told you where to find the crank sensor? on the 2.4 they are kinda hidden. lol. the iavl will more than likely have to be done at the dealer or a import shop with a consult II. :thumb:

If you go through the top on the engine the crank sensor is easier. Remove the air cleaner , the engine cover, and then reach your hand around under the tbody to the back of the motor while looking down through the intake runners it is a much shorter repair process.
