Just an F.Y.I. to 2nd generation owners:
Received a recall on the ECM relay, and another notice for an extended warranty on OEM radiators up to 80,000mi.
Had an appointment at Nissan at 8am, they kept my truck until 3:40pm, but we're kind enough to lend me an '07 Armada!
Anyway, I only had the appointment for the replacement on the ECM relay, (then without my asking), service adviser looked up any other outstanding recalls or service orders for my vehicle. He explained that due to the large number of vehicles having issues with the fuel-sending units. They have sent out recall notices to all affected owners. I was sent one of these notices months ago and apparently my truck was not part of the vehicle numbers affected. Service adviser explained this has been extended to most vehicles now, and they replaced my entire fuel assembly unit under warranty, free of charge, even though I'm now at 71,500mi.
I even explained to them that I've been having braking issues and all my brake components are brand new. They ran a full inspection, re-filled the nitrogen in my tires, (They were air downed by a lot since I had been out in the desert), pressure bleed my brake lines, checked the ABS sensors, adjusted my e-brake and pedals.
Checked engine components, gave it a car wash, checked the condition of the belts, tensioners and radiator since the service letter is out for it anyway. Only complaint was my LH jury-rigged HID ballast bracket, haha! (Broke that recently in the desert too..*oops*)
Be nice to your dealer, bat your pretty eyelashes at them, and go ask them about those recalls!
