My dad has a 72 240z, has the engine from a 280z in it, with higher compression, crane cam, and other mods, idk the whole list, but it has two side-carbuerators, and they arent running the same completely
I know they need to be tuned and aligned. My mechanic told me it wouldnt cost more than 100 bucks.
question is should i just pay the money and have it done or is it easy enough that i can do it myself?

you might be able to find info on adjusting them on www.ratsun.net or www.hybridz.org. there are probably alot of Z car specific forums that might have this info. if it was me i'd pay the money with the understanding that he better get it right.

Honestly if you have never messed with carbs, pay the money to get it done right. Carbs can be a real pain in the ass at times to get tuned/adjusted just right, but the results are worth it in the end.
Are they SU carbs or aftermarket Mikunis or Webers?
