What would I need for a static drop on my 01 QX4? I been searching everywhere and couldn't find any products that is specifically for my SUV. Maybe you guys know the parts I need?

Hopefully you guys can help me, on how I can get started no this project. :)

Thanks. And you can check out my ride in my sig. :D

first off........clean as ride.........

as for the static drop..........not sure where to tell ya to look......its basically a pathfinder so parts for them MIGHT fit but im not sure......never seen anyone build one of these as of yet........

what kinda suspension setup does it have? are they still on torsion bars? or is it a coil spring setup? whats the rear? link bars with springs? leafs?

might help with alil more info on your suspension so that we can help ya out on meeting the ground.........

also........his name slips my mind........but there is a guy on here that bagged a 99 pathy(I THINK THATS THE YEAR) so see if you can find his posts and hit him up.........he should be in the build log section if he made it over to this site from the old one........

Bag it! Do a copstopper kit up front and the rear coil springs can easily be switched to bags. It won't lay out with this setup but will get pretty low. It will be an adjustable ride and much more fun and impressive than a static drop.

How would my budget look with this kind of setup? Thx.

Do everyone else agree on his suggestion?

PSYCHOPATH from the old forum had a whole thread on his build, i think his was an 01 pathfinder

new coils would get you an easy static drop. it wouldnt be cheap, but it would be cheaper than bagging it.

Doesnt look like psychopath made it over here yet. i sent him an email tho.

You think this kit: https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=309&products_id=153

KYB Springs will look good and perform well?

These are the 20's I'm looking at: http://www.performanceplustire.com/products/wheels/searchType/searchByBrand/manufacturerID/101/productID_/3111

Something clean and simple.

wheels dont have too much offset. that might not work out to well if a QX4 is like any other nissan. Most nissans need a high offset wheel so they dont stick out past the fender. usually +25 to +40mm on a 8.5" wide wheel.

those coils look legit.

o.k. im here now (formerly psycopath).
anyways, your not gonna like what im gonna tell you about wheels.

sure there may be thousands of wheels that may bolt on and still be able to drop it 2". but if your ever planning on dropping it more, and need to tuck, your gonna need a +50 offset in a 8" rim in the rear. the front doesnt need that much. but can be pushed out using spacers.

the other option (which i did after not really liking the first wheels i bought) was to adapt a first gen rear axle to fit because it is 2" narrower. it is alot of work considering the link set-up is slightly different.

as far as static drop, i dont really know. i bagged mine 2 weeks after i bought it. basically all i can tell ya is anything past a 5" drop, and your gonna see some major setbacks, and cutting into a unibody (frameless) truck isnt as easy as a framed/body style truck.

maybe i will re-make my build topic from the previous site so unedjucated fools will quit presuming 2nd gen pathfinders are just 4x4 hardbody suspension.:bang:

First of all, Thank you for joining the site to place input on my project. I heard a lot about you and your build log and would love to see what you have done. I need an inspiration because I have not seen any QX4s/Pathfinders dropped. It would be great if u can get those pics up, because I've been dying to see what I'm getting into. :)

Sucks that you live in Canada, because I would love to see it in person. I have so many questions to ask, that I don't even know where to start. lol. I guess before I ask the questions, I should wait for the build log. :D

Thanks bro I am really looking forward to chattin with you.
