4 cly diesel engines...
well there is the sd and td series ... sd's have the starter motor on the left hand side,td on the right hand size
(sd 23 sd25 td 23 td25 td27 td27t i think is how it goes.)
td27t ( 2.7litre turbo) are dime a dozen here, being found in most of the pathys and some in the 4wd HB's.
from memory the td27t is rated at 100hp at 4400RPM
and the td27 is rated at 85 hp at 4400RPM
most 2wd Hb's are td27,older ones were td25/25 varients.sd's are alot harder to find.
I have converted my td27 by replacing it with a td27t.
as for getting one in an 04 fronty i wouldnt know...
P.S a quick search on "diesel" results in http://www.infamousnissan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=766&highlight=diesel

I have a BD25 engine on my HB.. runs good around 14km/L and around 90-100hp... runs 125km/hr with A/C and push thru 150 to top speed (160km/hr) without A/C...
