That's your Pressure Switch. It's actually for turning on the compressor automatically when the air in your tank goes below a certain PSI.

if you have a grainger or other industrial supply place nearby they would carry them. might even check with big rig suppliers as well.

I went to checker lastnight and they said that they can get them for semis but they have 5 wires instead of 3 but I have to compressors but only one of them is hooked up so should I go with one with more then 3 wires and same psi

depends on what the other 2 wires are for. they might be for a manual override switch or something else. but long story short a pressure switch is a pressure switch. you just gotta figure out the wiring portion of it.

ok i cant find one that looks like this one and all i can see in the old one is 175 psi everything else is rubbed off

it will have 2 psi ratings. the lower one is the turn on rating, the higher one is the turn off rating.
the ratings will depend on what compressor you use and what its rated for. 110/145, 145/175, and 160/200 are the common ones ive seen.

take a straight hot wire to it if it doesn't come on then its more than likely fried. cause thats even to much tank for 2 380's. I'd only do a 12 gallon with a EDC. I' dont use electric on more than 8 gallon.

ok new update i got the switch to work but the one compressor that dont wok i think its fried cuz it has power and ground is there a way to rebuild it
Mr.Ryan
12-08-2010, 12:49 AM
Not for a viar that I am aware of. Air Zenith can be some what rebuilt but as far as I know the viar comps are not rebuildable.
