not all link bars are the same length, depends on where you mount it at. best thing to do is get under there and measure where you want it.

For the front mounts you can use the stock hangers AFTER they have been cut & the hole redrilled. Easy to measure from there to under the spring shackle plate. I ran a 2 link for 1 year & let me give some advise. Install heim joints on the ends of the bars [either end] to take the stress off the bars & allow the axle to articulate more.

X2^^ When I had my 2 link, I made the mistake of using poly bushings; and let me tell you with almost no axle articulation, anytime I went over even the smallest of bumps it rode like shit.

Unless someone has the exact measurments and used the same wheel and tire size as you; thats somethin you're gonna have to just work out yourself. By bolting the bars on, lay it out; then measure how far you can go paying attention to how much the driveshaft plunges forward.

Its easy. You can measure now from the bolt on the stock hanger to the REAR of the shackle plate. Im assuming your bars will go UNDER the axle like a lowering block right? If so they can go beyond the shackle plate a few inches.

would i put the bar directly under the axle or do i stack 2x2 on top of another 2x2 and make it like a drop block
i dont know the measurement on my bars but here are a couple o pics as to where i mounted the tabs. also im useing 2x2 an 225-40's on 18"titans.

i'm not tryin to push you away from a two link, its your truck do with it as you wish, its just that it sounds lik you are doin this just to get further along quicker with the intentions of goin back later and doin it again. just trust me...no sense in doin something twice. do it how you want the end product to be without havin to buy material and doin the labor more than once.

I agree with 97 seeing as im redoing mine. Buying metal a 2nd time sux. But if done right the 1st time it should last.

did u use the factory hanger?
i didnt we made some new ones and cut the old hangers off and notched the frame a little

did u put it in the same location as the factory one
the longer the bar the better like going towards the cab
basiclly hes right we would have gone on the outside of the frame so its wider but the rims would have been in the way so right were the frame starts to go up is where we mounted them

I did a two link by cuttin the leaf spring about 10 inches from the front of the leaf spring and keept it bolted to the front hanger and welded 2x2 box tubing on top the leaf and ran tubing to the axcel and bolted an angle block between the axcel an tubing but its really good for front back set up only it rides like a caddy with firestones

let me get this straight, you cut your leaf spring and welded 2x2 tubing onto the leaf spring remnant to act as a 2 link bar?
dude, that is beyond unsafe. it would have been much better to just use a longer piece of 2x2 straight to the factory bracket

that is completely unsafe. U should never use leafsprings for anything other than the way they are intended. Thats an accident waiting to happen. Ive seen worse dont get me wrong. But still. Just use 2x2 1/4" wall. And do it the right way

I think I have now heard it all. That is so unsafe the thought would have never crossed my mind. Just everything about that is wrong, please do not drive your truck until you get this issue fixed.
The price of the correct equipment is nothing compared to your life.
