Im going to go tomorrow and lease a bottle but I would like to figure out what size i need before i go... The bottle is going to go sideways at the very back of the bed...

Does anyone know where I can find bottle dimensions... Ive searched but came up empty handed...

Thanks,
-Chris

the bottle size you are looking for will probly be the 90, that is what i had in my old S10.
the 120 bottle is to big to fit sideways

Anyway you could post some pics or give me the dimensions on that bottle...

Thanks,
-Chris

And to answer the question from above... pretty much all you need is a regulator and the fittings and air line to plumb it in... pretty simple setup!!!

i ran what is called a home owners bottle, it barely fit sideways with the regulator attatched, i owned mine...it was only 100 bux to buy it and i paid 15 bux to just swap the emty for a full one....i took it out cuz it was too small and wouldnt last long, i played with the switches alot, so after it reached 100 bux a month on refills i called it quits on the bottle, also i still had my comp. for backup...so now im gonna run a 380 dual pack...

don't want to thread steal, but can you actually run a system off just nitrogen, like run a line from the regulator to a manifold or something?

Yes you can... just run a line from the regulator to the tank...

you can do this as well but you'll have much better luck if you run a tank as you can come out of the tank with 3/8 or 1/2 line and it will be much faster than coming from the regulator straight

i know your going to ask why do i have a compressor if i have nitrogen
the answer is that when i run the bottles empty i still have a way to put pressure in the tank and get home but if you run a back up system that you put a ball valve or something to shut the comoresser off from the tank

what is the advantages or differences of running nitrogen? i've heard of people using it as a helper system with there traditional air system as a way to inflate their bags faster

the advangtes of having nitrogen is that you don't have to wait for the air system to catchup to fill the bags. you have the availabity to adjust what pressure you want in the system your not set to a pressure switch.

the disadvantages is once the bottle is empty it's empty and you have to have another way to fill the system to get home, i.e. carry two bottles or have an onboard compressor plumbed in to fill the system. now imo if you have the money invest in a couple of bottles so you have one in reserve so you not panicing when you have to have a bottle filled

now on to bottle filling you need to check with your welding supply store to see how they have there bottles filled, there's two way one is called transfer filling that's where they just hook you bottle up and fill from a larger tank, the down fall is that you don't get a full bottle of nitrogen you get shorted anywhere from 500-1000 psi. the other way is called cycle filling and that takes about five days to do, they basically cycle the time of how the bottle gets filled of a heating and cooling cycle, this is the best way to get a bottle fill imo b/c the bottle gets fill completely.

Or, you can be spoiled like me, and go get the extra bottle from the back of the shop when your bottle gets low and swap them out. I work in a welding shop and our burn table uses nitrogen, so we always keep a spare.

could it be possible to run a dual system? like use dual port bags, have one port hooked to a traditional air system with tanks and compressors, and have the second port hooked up with a nitrogen system?

that's sweet i'm spoiled too i own 5 five bottles and usually two or three are filled at all times

imo i wouldn't reccomend doing it that way, b/c then your going going to have to double everything when you could just K.I.S.S it and have a only one air tank, one or two bottles, one compressor, and only 8 valves, instead of sixteen.

HOLY SMOKE those aren't pointed at the person that rearends you but directly at your gas tank.....can you say KABOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!
