got my new buckets in

well i finally got my bucket seats put in my truck. i like the new look of the buckets, but they definitely sit up higher than the bench did. took a couple pics today before work.

Looks good man, I had the same problem when I put buckets in my '97, they sat up too high!

the seats are out of a 97 pathy and the console is just a universal one i found on ebay

yea i got the same buckets.they do tend to sit abit higher.

ive wondered what would happen if you fitted some standard HB seat rails as opposed to the ones on there now that have the swat tilty function.may be able to get them abit lower???

im sure they would sit lower if you did that. but you cant find ANY hb parts around here. none of the junk yards around here have any and most of them have never heard of the truck lol. guess the extra height will have to do, im used to it now anyway.

Hey, they are good looking seats, i will have to see if any local wreckers have some for me!
i managed to lower my standard d21 seats fairly easily, i don't plan on keeping my stained brown seats, so i thought i would hack them apart, with the rear rail mount removed and a flatter one welded on, and some of the seat frame removed, along with that tilting rubbish, as per photos, it would be about 2.5" lower than standard. i need to get as low as possible, because my floor is 4" higher than it used to be, and im 6'3". i welded in flat plate where i had cut out, and bolted the rails back on. -- easy.

They look good. I have some Cavi buckets in my garage I have been thinking about putting in but I am starting to actually like the bench.
