So i have a chance to pick up an 82 volvo wagon for cheap and i really want to bag the thing. i only glanced quick cause i had my dobie with me, but the rear setup looks incredibly simple...looks like a link bar holding the axle in place and a spring behind axle kinda setup that would be easy to change up for a bag to sit there. Has anyone seen or bagged an older volvo that might know of any problems id potentialy run into? Pics are a plus if youve got em.

DOOOO IT!!!! I love volvos man and have dreamed of seeing one laid out. it would look sweet bagged. I dont know how you would do the front tho man because of the front strut setup. but good luck. Im trying to find myself another wagon.

yeah i guess im gonna have to look into cylinders in the front...which sucks cause i dont have any of them layin around, and i was hoping to do this all with the spare shit that i had to keep costs down.

i almost did this about 4 years ago. i bought the volvo wagon from a tire shop, guy took me on a test ride, never went over 30 mph. i leave the station get over 30....put put put. so i turn around and get back to the station 45 seconds after buying it. the doors are locked. i knock on the door and peep through a window and see the guy standing in the shop looking at the door i knocked on. im getting pissed now and find a back door open. i went in and got my money back....he reluctantly gave it to me. if that thing would have run right i would have done it. they look great! close to a hearse lookin / surf wagon thing. almost like a vw squareback but bigger. i say do it!

i had one awhile back to do this with it. the front struts and spindles are one piece so you run strut bags from universal air or something similar. my plan was a yota front clip and a sfbd but that project never got going before the motor blew up in it
