i wanted to upgrade my compessors and airtank i got a five gallon want like atleast a 7-10 gallon what pair of compessor do you guys reconmend and are there anyone that are kinda quiet

i have the viar 480 chrome dual pack with an 8 gallon tank...they arent very loud and they fill the tank up fairly quick...im very pleased with this set up

X2 ^^ I have 1 480c Viair and I can't even hear it with the motor runnin'. It's a hell of alot quieter than my AZ

and btw if im not mistaken the viar 480 are the only compressors made by viar that are rated to pump 200 psi...(dont quote me on this hahahaha)

well i got a viar 380 and it take about 7min to fill up my 5 gallon tank and is very loud

i got two viair 450's...their loud but not really when the motors on it fills in about 8 minuets give or take to 200 psi in my 12 gallon

I have 2 380s, they are ok just not quick enough, I'm going to get a oasis when I get the extra money

i got 2 380s(200psi) ona 7 gallon tank, they were quiet before the base bushings wore.

yeah, with the newer compressors especially the 480s they made some changes and they are very quiet....again it depends on where you mount them though...if you mount them in the bed they are going to be louder since you mounted them to a soundboard...if you mount them to the frame like myself and others then they don't have that soundboard to make them louder than they really are....

Do a york edc i fill 10 gallons in about a minute to 200 psi at about 3500 rpms its about 2 min from 0-200 at idle.

8 gallon tank with dual 480s. nice fill time. lots of air to play with. mine are under the tonneau, and can barely be heard with the motor running.
compressor noise is all about how you mount them. you want to mount them on something solid, with rubber bushings or washers to isolate them from the surface.

^^^^ agreed with scottxgtr...i have mine in the bed with no top and they arent that loud because i have the rubber bushings keeping them from rattling against the metal
