hahaa i took the bed off to replace the gas tank and check the wiring because all my wiring is so F'd up. i have a bunch'a wires not plug in, i know i have grounds that arent grounded, because i have tail lights but only one brake light, and my turn signals are messed up. its a real mess in there i really need some help with the wiring, and when i put my new fuel tank in, the ground for the level broke off the top so i grounded it to the frame and i got nothing. so i guess i need to sauder that back to the top, unless its one of the wires in the dash thats not hooked up or grounded....uugghh what a mess. at least its drivable now! lol
oh yeah im thinking about picking up some 4" lowering blocks too since i got the bed off.....

Ehh, tbh id say flip the middle leaf upside down, then put it back ontop of the leaf pack and run 2 inch blocks with a pinion shim if you want.
Stiffens up the rear and makes a much better ride, imo.

wires shouldnt be hard its all the ac vents that are a pita but the wiring will only reach to their correct spots

well as far as radio wires go i have a new radio and all my wires connected. gonna prolly get some new speakers. removing the dash isnt hard at all the wires are really plug and play. im having a problem with turnsignals and brake lights. ive grounded all the wires to the frame and still dont have turn signals and only one brake light.... im confused and i cant find any wiring diagrams....might tryn pick up a owners manual or something.... idk

I've had a lot of electrical problems with mine with the lights and all, and all of my problems were coming from the dash area. Just a suggestion where to start.

i gotta buddy thats gonna tryn print me out a schematic. but on my fuel tank where the leveler is, the gasket that i took off the old one seems too big. i cant get the fuel leveler to stay in, i put some fipige on there and some clear sylicone around it hopefully that'll fix it. i had it on there like that b4 and gas would splash up and kinda leak not a lot. but had to sauder the ring on the inside so my gauge will read. any advise on this? gonna call nissan dealer tmrw might just get a whole new leveler...

Nice score for $650. Looks like the PO tried to cover up that beautiful original copper paint, what a shame. Sunset orange is my favorite color offered by Nissan. Let me know if you drop that rear bumper. I love the older 720 bumpers, that one would look good powdercoated satin black.

yeah i like that orange too but im currently fixing some rust spots in the floor board. just a quick fix for now. and im gonna pull the bench again and prolly lay some carpet in there to get rid of that nasty pleather shyt!

thanks! now the only problem is the fuel level on the tank is leaking from the top....i think i need a new rubber gasket but i cant find them anywhere and nissan has a new level but for $80. and i really dont wanna pay that. i dont know how the ring was in the old tank but it seems too big for this one and i cant get the level to stay in the hole just kinda sits there and has play in it. i tried several times to use silicone but gas that splashes up just eats thru it and leaks on the top of the tank....i dont know what to do bout it.....

as i say to everyone its not worth ur life to skimp on these things man. theres two things you shouldnever mess with ur brakes and ur fuel system. pay the 80 bux and you wont be paying for a truck after u watch urs burn to the ground.
