simple dragger...?

wanting too bag my daily 720, just wondering if i cant get some tips as too how much money im gonna be investing in this and how hard it will be do just do something simple. not wanting anything crazy just a simple dragging would be nice lol....

I say closer to 3 g's with all the fittings, lines, compressors, switchbox, valves, wiring, and such, all the little things slip your mind when creating a basic shopping list.

i was including everything. when i priced everything too do my hardbody with suicide doors it was about 2200 but that was 1/2inch lines, 10gallon tank, 2 viair compressers lol i went crazy making a list.

plus theres the bag brackets and four link...hmm yea your right ryan i forgot when i priced i had the 4 link lol

hmmm im not trying too come acrossed as a dick or anything but you dont really seem too know much...all you want to do is drag it? do you know anybody who has a bagged truck? have you been around any? its not something easy that can be knocked out in a day. itll take some time and money.

also do you have knowledge of using welder, grinder, sawzall, measuring tape, etc?

i dont really know anything about mini trucks i do have a buddy that welds roll cages at a motorsports company and he said he would weld anything for me. yeah ive been around them. i just bought this truck as my daily because my civic is a garage whore. but yeah i want to just be something simple and drag it lol. i was gonna make a build of my civic on here had too many pics and i said fuck it. but no man i dont know hardly anything about doing these trucks....just a new project im lookn to do so im trying to learn all that i can from friends and the internet lol

hmm my best suggestion would be browse the forums and read up as much as you can. ask as much as you can. and while your doing that id save up and take the truck to a shop to be built right. may be a bit priceyer but in the end you dont have the full knowledge. ive been into them for 10 years and been learning how air ride and suspension setups and all that work for 5 and im still a little iffy to do my own truck.

have you ridden in a bagged truck? theres a lot of things out there you should look into first it may not be something youd want if you look farther into it.

but theres just alot that goes on too just say hey bag it so i can drag it. what size line you want. how many compressors how much air, triangulated four link, parallel, 2 link, canti lever, etc. theres lot of stuff out there. just spend your free time doing research. like i said ive been on the forums almost 5 years and havent learned everything too know lol. ive even worked on a few bagged rides and still dunno much.

also what size wheels and how much out of the LCA are you going to cut out what else is going to need a cut or 2 ,camber issues, size of notch, how you setup up the rear end. there are a couple ways of design of the rear, front is pretty simple

well the notches are good and the bag style in bag over axle which gives about the lift of the bag stroke

you build a truck to lay frame, and not to drag. draggin is a side effect. and if you plan to drag, do it right with a plated frame and not blocks or balls. its not cheap and its not easy. so start saving now and doing your research on how things work.

but like everybody else said draggin will fuck up your truck with out the proper setup.
before you worry about that you should look up the basics. browse the member projects/rides section. check out the setups, read how itll work etc etc. it really helps to read. and if you can watch some videos on you tube get an idea of how the suspension works.

its kew man....my trucks acting up right now, im thinking i need a new radiator it started to over heat on me today. i keep pouring water in the radiator and it just eats it. gonna get some colant this week, im hoping i dont need a new radiator. i have a buddy thats got a KA motor sitting in his garage with the tranny....was thinking....lol gotta see how much hes gonna want for it. just a thought

lilrookz just save your pennies get the right stuff and plate the hell out of everything. I built my truck with one purpose sparks on pavement........then i broke a whole bunch of shit.......reworked, broke shit, finally after many peoples help mostly from this and other unamed sites I have a truck that I dragg almost on a daily basis. just dont rush anything and take all the advise you can get.

my opinion, which no one ever listens too, if you just want a toy to "drag & destroy", jump on craigslist and find the cheapest bagged truck you can find, chances are the have already been dragging the shit out of it and are looking for something diff, but there are major safty things you need to look at before buying a used bagged truck.

Also, again this is just my opinion, dont drag your daily, or your precious garage kept civic will become your only means of transportation

defiantly sounds like you have your head on right. Before i bagged mine i put in a rebuilt long block,new radiator,water pump,oil pump,clutch and probably other shit lol. Defiantly make the engine right then get to baggin it.

well i talkd to my buddy that has this KA motor/tranny he said he'd sell the motor between 3-400...and he said the tranny grinds a lil in 1st and sometimes doesnt go into reverse so i could prolly talk him down. just a thought on this motor tho. i dont know how hard the swap is to do and what all i have to get, wire harness, motor mounts, etc

What's this latest craZe club u speak of lol. Just kidding there are a couple of guys in that club that can steer u right. Or if u feel upto a road trip roll over to terre haute and goto blimpies subs there are a couple of guys from relaxed I think that work there or own it u can talk to them. Over by the dragstrip in indy there was a couple of shops don't know if they are still there though,other then that if u go towards chicago u can stop in to damage hydros they do air setups. They are off of 80 let's see there are shops all over. Don't just let anyone that says they can do it, to do it. U can have someone that isn't that exp. Welding and actually make it worse or very unsafe. Maybe u should hit up slamolgy and ask questions to guys that have bagged trucks. But steer clear of S10s as they are a lot diffrent to bag.
