Unrecessing headlights

I purchased my truck with recessed headlights and a phantom billet grill of which i sold. I ordered the 95 and newer chrome grill and have to unrecess my headlights. Since i didn't do it to begin with i don't know what i have to do to undo it. Can anyone give me a run down on what needs to be removed to get to the bolts to do this? Thanks

The headlight buckets were probably cut and moved to the inside of the rad support in order to recess them. Try moving them to the outside and it should hold. If not then you will need new buckets.

I understand that part but looks like alot of stuff in the way (air box, battery, etc.) just wondering what i had to remove to get to the bolts on the buckets.

should be able to access them by removing the grille

He bolted them with the bolt coming through the support towards the grill

yeah i bought that grill from you on ebay but i still havent figured out why the shipping doubled when the first guy didnt pay? Better be a nice grill too!! lol :D

I charged him 30 aswell, when i listed it ebay made me do a quote on it but since i didn't know who's zip code it was going to i listed it as mine. I will get it out today to you so you should see it real soon. I will email you the tracking number. It is a very nice grill.

I meant send it out monday lol. Got the lights unrecessed. Only bolts in 2 corners catty corner to each other so should work.

thats fine just wasnt sure why it changed. cant wait to get it, always liked how those grills looked. glad you got your lights turned back around

mine had a phantom when i got it and I just left em recessed with the 93-97 chrome grille got installed
