Speed Sensor wires [Archive] - Infamous Nissan

Hey guys, I have a 98 frontier and I am trying to see if anyone know where the wire for the speed sensor on the tranny hooks up to? I was looking finally under my truck and the wires looked either were ripped or someone just cut them. I can't seem to find the plug or any other wires just there hanging. I have looked at a layout on the wiring and still can't figure what area of the truck it would connect to. Any info would help me out to getting it hooked back up.

your trying to find the speed sensor on the trans?

No I have founds the sensor on the driver side of the trans. I just need to know where is the wire going to hook up to on the wire harness. I know they have a few sets in the truck. I am just not sure where the sensor would conect to on the trucks harness. Like for example if the runs and hooks up by a plug over by the driver side in the engine by say the clutch master cylinder. I just know that the sensor has a two pin plug on it and it has been ripped off or cut but it is no longer conected to anything and a small piece of wire is just hanging there. So I want to find out where the wire off the sensor would plug into somewhere along the truck.

No problem with it but the thing is the my odometer is not working as well. I just would like to see how fast I am going. I am around where I need to be with out it as far as mph. So I am not worried about that but I would like to see like the milage I drive a week. That way I can keep up with my gas mileage. I Just can't find any where to plug that thing it.

from my haynes book in the back diagrahms the vehicle speed sensor has two wires
light blue
brown/white
they then go to the guages
try looking on the passenger side firewall for these colors on the plugs there

Well I tried to look for it but couldn't find it. I didn't have a whole lot of time over the weekend. I am going to see about looking for it again today.

the speed sensor should be on the passenger side of the transmission.
