How about some ones tailored to the forum?

thread new = http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp221/mnschneider78/forum_new.gif

thread old = http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp221/mnschneider78/forum_old.gif

Just save them, upload the to your host files (overwriting the old ones).

Or if you want different colors, lemme know. ;)

there is more than just new/old. plus the 4 color schemes to work with. i think the regular ones do a good job.

besides, its already been established that skulls and pistons should have been used instead of stars. ;)

I just am not a fan of OEM forum parts. This is why I suggested it, in this here suggestion section. ;)

I know that there are about 16 or so thread icons that would need to be altered as well. I wasn't going to spend 2 hours building those if these weren't used.

im not a fan of overly customized forums. im a member at a handful of forums, and most run vbulletin. so when im at one, i feel at home. i know where everything is, so its easy to navigate and use the forums. most of them have a different color scheme, but the basics are all still there.

once you get to one that has had every button changed, moved, or otherwise edited, it becomes harder to navigate.

if you dont like the stock forum look, might i suggest one of the alternate color schemes:

Yer site, yer call. I'm a member of about 40+ forums. Some stock, some tweaked mildly, some tweaked heavily. Some are VB, some are SMF, some are phpbb. I've never had a hard time navigating any of them.

There are a lot of younger/smaller forums that don't even realize the icons can be changed. This is pretty much the reason I brought it up. But apparently you know. :D

As for the themes, I use Kelp because I like dark themes.
