what "anti-spyware" program is it? many of us got hit with a fake program about 2 months ago that was a virus. came off of "the other site", which got attacked.

it's a virus that looks like an official windows product

one good tool is to use spyware blaster.. it can take forever to use but it generally works well.

can't find it in programs, I had 12 trojans and I scanned just before I went there. ran spyware and registry cleaner and all and still can't get rid of the icon at bottom right. i have windows xp. still can't get my avg to update and when I try to go to the avg site it won't display page.

Hey if anything it is Malware. Go on to Bleepingcomputers.com and they have a section for internet security. I use smitfraudfix and malware scanner. If you can do some search or give me a minute I can give you a link. They tell you that you have issues with your computer and only add more programs or can slow your computer down.

Ok here is the topic on that forum. you might have to register but if you need any type of help here is a good place to fall back to. Anywhere from hardware all the way to sofware help and as well as any type of protection. You can even do a search for the program they are telling you to use that you can't remove/unistall. That will require to register to search but will give the proper program to remove it as well as how to use the program for scanning. It's free so wouldn't hurt.Hope this helps you out. I know it's helped me from having to reformat and fix mainy other computers.
