Sup from Jacksonville Florida guys
I'm gonna be straight up and come right out and say I've never dropped a truck before... I found a guy (Les) that did a V8 swap on youtube and tracked him down over to NC. I have been wanting to drop my HB ever since. I lurked over there, and I think I have a decent understanding of what went down there so I figured this would be the place to post my build.
I'm gonna start slow since this is my daily driver and I put about 60 miles on it everyday. Maybe when I get something else to drive back and forth to work everyday I will bag it. Until then I will be happy with a static drop.. hopefully.
I'm planning 4" drop blocks in the back and belltech spindles up front and see how it looks and rides after that. I found a set of 18" 5 spoke titans on ebay the other day and picked them up for $310 after shipping and found some cheap Sumitomo 225/40/18s and got them for $428 after shipping. After I get my titans bored I'm gonna see how everything fits before I order my spindles and drop blocks.
Anyway here is a before pic, hopefully I will have some after pics up with a few weeks.
86.5 HB King Cab VG30 eventually gonna drop either a carb'ed 350 or LS1 in it. The 350 is a few grand closer then the LS1 though. Peep the ghetto eagle alloys lol
